帥 General (King) Moves one point within palace

仕 Advisor (Guard) Moves diagonally within palace

相 Elephant (Bishop) Moves two points diagonally

馬 Horse (Knight) Moves in L-shape, can be blocked

車 Chariot (Rook) Moves any distance horizontally/vertically

炮 Cannon Moves like rook, captures by jumping

兵 Soldier (Pawn) Moves forward, sideways after crossing river

Chinese Chess Rules

Checkmate the opponent's General (King) by attacking it with no possible escape.

9×10 board with a river dividing the two sides. Each side has a palace (3×3 area) for the General.
